  • What kind of lasers does Spa Nala use? How powerful are they?

    Spa Nala uses Alma brand LAsers. Soprano Ice uses a diode laser which is the strongest most permanent solution for hair removal. It keeps your skin cool which dramtically lowers the risk of injury and pain.

Treatment Length / Number of Sessions

  • How long is a treatment session?

    One session of laser hair removal is usually done in  one hour. Depending on the size of the area, it could take as few as five minutes.

  • How many sessions will I need?

    Across the board, 6-8 treatments are required, but every area is differrent.


  • Why do I need more than one session?

    This is because hair growth occurs in four stages, only one of which is an actively growing stage. Lasers can only affect hair which is actively growing.

How It Works

  • How do lasers remove the hair?

    The laser targets the hair shaft beneath your skin and gradually heats it with light, destroying it. It only targets the darker shaft, not the skin around it.

Preparing for Laser Hair Removal

  • How do I prepare for laser hair removal?

    You should stop any waxing or tweezing you do 2 weeks before coming in for your laser hair removal. You can still shave and should shave within 24 hours before your treatment. The hair needs to be in your skin, but not above the skin, for laser removal to work.

  • Which areas of my body can be treated?

    Both men and women can be treated with laser hair removal on all ares of the body.

  • How do I care for my skin after laser hair removal?

    Once the hair sheds, you’ll be hair-free in the treatment areas for a few weeks. Once new hair begins to grow in (about 2-4 weeks after your treatment), you will come in for your next treatment. There may be some reddening of the skin after a treatment, but Spa Nala’s Alma Soprano Ice laser has patented contact cooling technology which keeps your skin cool while the gentle laser works.

Treatment Options

  • Are there any other options which are as good as lasers?

    There are creams, but they do not remove the hair permanently, they work similar to shaving. You could also try waxing, but it will come back after 4 - 6 weeks typically. A laser is the only true way to remove hair permanently.
